Rene Marie Russo was an American actress, director, and supermodel. Known for her elegant beauty her longevity in the highly demanding film industry shows her skills and talent as a performer. She began her career modeling in the 1970s and soon became one of the most prominent figures in modeling. She took classes in acting and theater towards the beginning of the decade, before starring on stages in Los Angeles, and other parts of California. The year 1987 saw Russo was the lead character Eden Kendell in the drama ABC's Sable. Two years later she played Tom Berengers love interest in her first movie Major League.
